When this particular question is asked, you are band to get different answers. Most of the time the answer would very much depend on the bra size of the individual. As they say: different stokes for different folks. I did a little research on this interesting subject and got different opinions:
It really depends where you live. In Europe, it’s common you may proudly walk braless in our natural innocent curves if you have firm n fit (not saggy) breasts and may be proud of them.

Just out for a walk in the city, around the house, maybe in a local market, etc.?
And no, I’m not a 70 year old woman, I’m 20 but I have small breasts (US 30 A…UK 30 B… Europe 65 B) so I don’t know if I should go without a bra?
With smaller breasts you really should be okay. Any bigger than what you are would be pushing it though. If you are wearing an extremely thin shirt and your nipples easily poke through, then you should wear a bra.
When I was a 38DDD, I would not step out of the house without a bra. Now that I’m a 38C I’ll go almost anywhere without one, but for modesty’s sake only if the weather allows me to wear a heavier garment.
There are times we have to consider other people. This is something you can decide for yourself. Do whatever makes you more comfortable

Well it’s up to you really, as the other person says you would probably get mixed reviews from others, but in my opinion it’s nobody’s business (except maybe at work where it may convey the wrong image to customers/clients)…
The above views in my opinion make good sense and should be considered when going out. At the end of the day, I believe it depends out where you go, what outfit you’re wearing, what size ladies bras you wear and what you feel comfortable in. Of course you have to take others into consideration especially if you’re in the midst of people you’re not familiar with.

Many women tend to go without ladies bras, not just because of their bra size but the discomfort they seem to experience with wearing a bra. This can easily be solved by wearing your right size by going for a bra fitting aka bra measuring by a professional Bra Fitter. If this is not possible, you can easily do your bra measuring online. There are a lot of Benefits of wearing a properly fitted bra especially if you wear above a C cup.

At the end of the day, one has to apply commonsense and sensitivity to others. However, the final choice lies with the wearer.
Do feel free to send me an email to let us know what your views are on this matter.

There is often the assumption that sexy see through ladies bras may not offer enough coverage, support or fitting as a standard bra. However, this should not and is not often the case. Many see through ladies bras often have reinforcement in the material which make up both the cups and the wings that is the band which are the areas where support is most needed.
However, this is not an issue about just buying pretty underwear, what is most required is that you know your right size. This is the case if you are buying a bra in any style or material. However, this can easily be achieved by having a bra fitting aka bra measuring by a professional Bra Fitter. If this is not possible, you can do this yourself by doing the bra measuring online. Believe you me; doing it online is a lot easier than one tends to think as they do often come in easy to follow steps. Once you have established your size, if you are a perfectionist, you may also want to decide on what kind of fit you want (for easy guidance, you may want to refer to one of our previous blogs entitled: What Style and How Many Bras Should I Own?).
If I was to give just one piece of advice on buying see through bras, it would be, you need to consider the outfit you will be wearing your bra underneath. It’s obvious that if you are wearing a very light, especially a see through top, it may not be practical to wear a see through bra as well. If you particularly want to look sexy, it would be best to try your outfit with bra underneath to know in advance what the final outcome would be instead of leaving it to the very last minute when you may be pushed for time.
At the end of it all, there are no hard and fast rules and neither is it rocket science, the final decision is really down to you. Whatever the case may be a full length mirror would often serve as your best friend as it would never lie about your appearance. If you’re going for a special occasion why not get your outfit really, including accessories or bear it in mind at least a couple of days before? Apart from giving you the opportunity to look your best, you also have the opportunity to change things around including your ladies bras, thongs, briefs all in advance. I’ve often found myself in the situation in the past when I often left such preparations especially my accessories to the last minute only to realise while I was out, especially in the Ladies that I could have had a better outward appearance if I had planned it ahead. This applies especially when going away on holiday unless you have the money for extra expenses or access to the right shops. Match each outfit to your lingerie and accessories and you can’t go wrong.
It all takes just a little bit more of your time!

It’s amazing how many young girls are wearing bras nowadays! It’s not usual to see a girl of nine wearing a proper bra and I don’t mean a cropped top. Even though we’re all aware that sometimes these things are more of a fashion statement. Once one girl in the class wears a certain unusual item it kicks off a trend especially if it makes her appear all grown up.
However, what is very important is that one is fitted at the right time which would be when the busts start to develop properly. At this stage, the developing bust would spread over a wide area of the chest wall as opposed to that of an adult. Ideally she should be taken to have a Bra Measuring aka Bra Fitting done by a professional Bra Fitter. I would advise that she be taken by her mother or a responsible female adult who she feels free with. In the case where this cannot not be done, one can opt for an online Bra Measuring in the mean time. At this point in time, the young adult should be fitted with a teenage bra known as a Soft Bra or Non-wired Bra. It is important to ensure that the busts are fully contained in the cups of the bra, with a little extra room for further growth and to avoid restriction of growth too. As for the band, this needs to be sitting firm under and around the back for firm support. Ideally, the band should be hooked on the inner most eye to allow room for further growth in the back as the case would probably be.
As soon as it appears the bras currently in use are beginning to feel a little tight. As her busts develop further and begins to look more like that of an adult’s, she should be refitted again and would probably require an adult ladies bra. This would probably be from a cup size B. It would also be best to go for a bra with a deep Bridge between the cups and underwire to bring the busts in together as should be the case. This is because at this stage, a lot of young girls’ busts grow and change at a fast pace. The busts are also very tender and without muscular support and therefore requires extra support to avoid them from sagging.
Most mothers do not seem to realise that following these simple steps is extremely important. I have had a number of mothers say to me that their daughter does not need a bra measuring or a good quality bra right now as she is still a teenager. However, the teenage stage is the most important stage as the bra she wears then will determine how her busts will grow and develop into adulthood. This also includes her posture too which is very difficult to put right if there are adjustments to be made later in life.
Let’s therefore help our young ones to enjoy the benefits of wearing a properly fitted bra to maintain a healthy and firm bust. This will also help in keeping them in good shape and confidence too!

A good number of men would love to buy pretty underwear for their loved one especially in these economic times when one would like to stretch one’s money’s worth a lot further. The truth of the matter is that womens underwear certainly lasts and leaves longer lasting memories than flowers and chocolates! And if it’s a special occasion like an anniversary, birthday, Valentine’s Day or even Mother’s Day, most men would like to go the extra mile and buy luxurious lingerie which could sometimes come with extra offers such as free wrapping and gift boxes. However, for some, this may seem like a daunting task, not knowing where to start. This need not be the case especially if the website has a good Guide for Men.

If you’re new at it, it might be best to keep it simple. That doesn’t mean not being a bit adventurous. However, you may want to stick to simple items like ladies bras matched with ladies thongs, short or brief depending on her preference and a suspender belt. But do put a bit of colour in it. You may want to go for her favourite colour or go for other colours like red, black or purple. Most website would have what they call New Season Range. Have a look at that, you can be rest assured they would be recommendations by the experts themselves who make it their duty to keep themselves updated with the latest fashion on the lingerie industry.

Next, you need to know her size. The best way I would say is, take a peek at her lingerie drawer. If she seems to have different sizes, just go for the size that keeps recurring. Or you can simply ask her sister or friend.

After all has been said and done and you’re still in doubt, you can simply ask your special woman outright, at least you tried! She would most likely admire your bravery. Or you might even want to go on the website together even if it means doing it wittingly!

Or you can go straight to the experts; most websites have experts at hand who are only a call away. After all that’s what they’re there for!

So, you see buying pretty underwear for your loved ones isn’t that difficult or expensive as most people who do not shop online tend to think. Not only do you have the opportunity to shop around from the comfort of your home, many websites are competitive and have special services and offers you won’t get in the shops. These often come in the form of free posting, wrappings, gift boxes, Special Buys etc.

So, give it a go and you’ll see not only the benefits of doing your purchases as and when it suits you. If you’re like me, you’ll make it a part of your life style after all life doesn’t have to be more complicated than it already is!

When most of us want to buy a new bra even if it’s for an occasion, we don’t often give a thought to what style ladies bras, would go with our outfit. We tend to go more for the looks. I must be sincere far back into the past I fell into that category too. I like a lot of us found the bra I thought suited me and bought it without much thought. After all, wasn’t a bra made to hold the busts up?
In the last few years a lot more emphasis is placed on wearing a properly fitted bras and many opportunities to have a bra measuring done, also referred to as a bra fitting with a professional Bra Fitter. For those who are unable to, you can do the bra measuring online. However, what goes hand in hand with knowing your right size in ladies bras, is also knowing the different styles and therefore knowing what best suits you and your purposes. For me, this best came to light when a friend and I were recently having a massage. We spoke on different topics, including tattoos, relationships etc but the topic that took the most interest was the different styles in ladies bras. I was happy to explain the different styles and fit and from that the masseur who bought up the topic was able to have a good idea of what styles best suited her.
A typical example I give when asked the popular question as to why a woman never seems to find her right size in bras is; let’s say a woman is a 34E. She buys a Full Cup bra, a Plunge bra and a Half Cup bra in 34E. She tries them on and finds out that of the three bras, the only one that fits properly is the Full Cup bra! What she hasn’t taken into consideration is the simple fact that these three different bras have different functions and therefore very different fits!
To throw more light on the above, I’ll give a simple illustration of the different style and functions of these three different ladies bras.
The Full Cup Bra-As this bra implies this bra gives you full coverage of the bust. It is designed to be worn with basic tops and is aka a basic or everyday wear bra.
The Plunge Bra aka Push Up Bra-This bra is intended to bring your busts together and push them up to give you the desired cleavage. This allows you to wear them with V and low lined tops without revealing your pretty underwear.
The Half Cup Bra does exactly what it says. It gives you coverage just above the nipples and therefore can be worn with very low lined tops.
We can therefore safely say that the function of a bra is more important than its looks. However, we are fortunate nowadays to be able to purchase beautiful underwear for ladies too. So go out there and make the most of your purchases!
I believe there is more need for awareness of what properly fitted ladies bras should look like. It need not be rocket science. If for example, you find the band of your bra riding up your back, the band size of the bra you’re wearing is certainly too loose. Ideally, the band should be firm and parallel around your body and still stay in the same position without the straps pulled up. This will therefore require you going down in a band size. If it is a situation whereby you put two fingers underneath your band and it gives way very easily, there is the high possibility that you will need to go down two sizes in your band size. Many women will actually say that their comfort comes first, they’re therefore happy with the band size they’re in at the moment. Wearing the correct band size only takes getting used to it within a couple of days. Believe you me, once you get used to your correct size, you’ll no longer want to wear your old bras. There’re also other added benefits to wearing properly fitted ladies bras, couple with the fact that your ladies bras will last longer. This is because when you wear the right band size, you would be able to wear your band on the looseness hooks or the middle at the most. You will therefore have more hooks to play with when your band stretches due to wear and tear.
One should not underestimate the benefits of wearing properly fitted ladies bras as this not only give us a smooth silhouette but also contributes to our beauty, wellbeing and confidence!
The fact is, the band in ladies bras provide up to 90% support for our busts as opposed to the straps which provide approximately 10% support. If you’re still unsure, all that is required is that you go for a bra fitting aka bra measuring with a professional fitter. If this is not possible in the near future, I would advise you do the bra measuring online. This will enable you to know your correct size.
The final say should be based on your personal judgment. At the end of it all, it’s all about you and your personal opinion should have the final say!

I believe the state of your ladies bras and ladies thongs etc can also tell a great deal of your personality and of course whether you truly care about yourself on the inside. Caring about oneself is truly the essence of one’s wellbeing. What is on the inside would always spill out onto the outside. In the UK, not enough emphasis is laid on this which it probably why Britain has one of the highest number of depressed people. According to Rebecca Smith, Medical Editor in The Telegraph-26 February 2008; 31 million prescriptions were written for anti-depressants in 2006 in Britain. That is definitely a lot and tells you something!

It doesn’t always take big leaps to make a difference to our lives. It can start with little adjustments here and there which will contribute to our own happiness and wellbeing and even spill out over onto others. I for one feel a lot happier when I’ve chosen which outfit I’ll be wearing (if it’s work, a meeting or occasion, I’ll have done this usually the night before) and then carefully selecting which pretty underwear I’ll be matching it to which would be a real boost too.

However, if others saw my underwear for ladies, what impression would I leave with them. Some may say, ‘oh, what does it matter?’ But if and it does happen, I was to become a celebrity later on in life, I can be rest assured that if an incident whereby my indecent lingerie was exposed which I for one would have probably conveniently forgotten, such incident would probably eventually come to the surface. It would make a great headline in some magazine! So, why not avoid such situations and make yourself the happier for it. Besides, if you sudden found yourself in a situation where you had to reveal your lingerie. Such as an impromptu day out shopping with your mates that was planned only after you had met up with them or if unfortunately you found yourself maybe haven’t had a drink to many and things goes to the extreme if you get what I mean. Do you sit there afterwards wishing you had worn your more decent lady underwear and probably matching ladies thongs, ladies briefs etc? At least that would take away some of the embarrassment and you’ll be happier for making the effort.

Which womens underwear I wear may not necessary say who I am but could certainly contribute to my wellbeing and save me from unnecessary embarrassment in the long run. If I was given the choice of choosing just the one of the two, I’ll rather happily go for the former!

Yes, so why bother? However, I’ve heard some women say; it’s important to wear decent ladies bras when going out in case one is involved in an accident while out and they have to rip open ones clothes to... But how often do such incidences happen to one? As for me, I’ll rather wear pretty underwear for myself and my partner Continue reading →

I’ve found out that on days when I feel I need a lift, wearing ladies bra with matching thong or short that are brighter and cheerful helps. For some, they may prefer to wear more colourful lingerie. Truly at the end of the day it really depends on your preference and what you feel most comfortable in. After all, our day does not always go according to plan. For example, as a professional Bra Fitter, I’ve done some very unplanned bra measuring. Of course the ladies fitted didn’t get the honourable chance of changing their ladies bras before being fitted and some due to the bra they may have been wearing then may have had to give up a chance of a life time. However, a bra fitting can be done online. Certainly, prevention is better than cure. What about the feel-good factor? I honestly believe nothing can beat that! On some days when I feel my day isn’t going as well as I’ll like it to which happens to all of us from time to time. Remembering what womens underwear I’m wearing and if chanced, I’ll sometimes take a little peek at my ladies bras strap, brings a cheeky little smile to my face. Sometimes it’s like not sharing some cheeky little secret, you should give it a go, it really works.

And what if your partner suddenly gives you a call at work or wherever you are for some impromptu dinner or date which could be most exciting. Do you say, “can’t make it cos I’m wearing the wrong lingerie today”, or you get there extremely late because you had to dash home first in a mad panic to change your underwear for ladies which of cause could spoil the atmosphere or event itself. In some cases, you may decide to brave it with the hope that you’ll get away with not exposing your not so desirable ladies briefs which too can dampen the evening.

So why not pride yourself and stick to properly fitted ladies bras and pretty underwear. After all it doesn’t cost a fortune and in the long run can be a booster when needed. And being single really isn’t a good excuse either. Number one reason for wearing pretty underwear should really be for oneself. After all, it’s only when you feel good within yourself that you can spread it out to others!

So go ahead be good to yourself and you’ll really find out it could make a world of difference to your wellbeing too!

For many a woman putting the final touches to our Big Day can be very frustrating and daunting as we usually want everything to be perfect. This applies especially to our wedding dress. This need not be the case if we are following a few basics.

Even though a lot of women do pay attention to their bridal underwear, we do not pay much attention to the fit and function it should serve, after all we want to look our very best! Having pretty underwear on the day is important but what is most important is matching our lingerie for the day to our wedding dress to achieve a perfectly smooth silhouette. This will also enhance the final outlook and avoid showing any undesirables which can include our bra straps or visible panty lines (VPL).

I would therefore suggest a professional bra measuring should be done soon after the dress has been completed. It should therefore not be left till the last few days and the wedding dress should also be taken along to the fitting to give the bra fitter knowledge of what style ladies bras can be matched to it. If in some cases, it becomes impossible to go to one, your best bet will be to do the bra measuring yourself online. Do make sure you try the two on together including all other accessories in advance especially if buying it online to avoid disappointment.

If you are unsure of what to go for you can always pop into a store or go online to seek advice. One of your safest choices in ladies bras especially if you would be wearing a strapless or off-the-shoulder dress would be to choice a multiway bra, strapless basque or strapless bustier.

Second most important to make up our womens underwear for our big day would be what style bottoms to match our bra, basque or bustier to. This also has to be suitable under our wedding dress which can so easily be overlooked. This could be in the shape of a ladies thongs, ladies briefs or shorts , in most cases, this is a matter of personal choice. However, if you’re going for a professional bra measuring you may as well take the opportunity to get advice on what style bottoms to wear if need be. And if you want to be on the safe side, you’re better off going for ladies thongs, something seamless or with very limited fringe.

The final area to touch on is additional accessories such as a suspender belt, garter etc which is a matter to choice.

But remember nowadays there’s no rule of thumb as to what style colour dress you should wear or bridal underwear. I was a matron of honour at a friend’s wedding over 6 years ago and she wore a red wedding dress, an ivory African head scarf and of course red bridal underwear. She looked one of a kind and fabulous too. So do get adventurous if you can carry it off! And have fun while planning at the same time and everything will fall into place.
